HDR Images Of Japan Are Beautiful, Stunning
via Geekologie - Gadgets, Gizmos, and Awesome by (author unknown) on January 17, 2008
My wife has been into HDR photography for awhile now, so I've seen some pretty awesome examples of what you can do with HDR. For those of you that aren't familiar with High Dynamic Range photography, it's pretty neat. Basically you take several photos of the exact same scene using differen

Guy Plays Tetris Near The Speed Of Light
via Geekologie - Gadgets, Gizmos, and Awesome by (author unknown) on February 24, 2008
This is a video of a guy playing an arcade Tetris game. Fast. Like "wow" fast. He really likes to keep the right side open to drop the sticks in and get those four-banger drops. It's amazing. And to top it all off, after he beats the game at around the 5:10 mark the blocks on the playfield turn invisible and he still tears it up. Now I don't know if this guy is a magician or a...

Man Grows Old Right Before Your Eyes
via Geekologie - Gadgets, Gizmos, and Awesome by (author unknown) on May 13, 2008
Wow, I really need to ramp up my efforts to live a more stress free life. I don't wanna end up like this guy, who, in the span of three years, went from a young dapper lad to an old diaper clad. Apparently he's a Japanese news reporter that let the stress of the job get the best of him. Listen, I've got a piece of advice for those of you out there that feel like you may be headed...

Peruvian Anti-Riot Police Look Awesome
via Geekologie - Gadgets, Gizmos, and Awesome by (author unknown) on February 04, 2008
Well, I'm moving to Peru to join their anti-riot police. Just look at those outfits. This picture was taken during a parade celebrating Peru's independence day. Just look at those guys, most don't even need to have their eyes open to march. You just plow through whatever comes your way. Did I mention the uniforms really accentuate the area right below the belt? Because they do. Take...

Oh Nuh-Uh: Man Makes Folding Bike Wheel
via Geekologie - Gadgets, Gizmos, and Awesome by (author unknown) on February 06, 2008
Duncan Fitzsimmons has developed a folding bicycle wheel. That's him in the picture. Yeah, the one holding the folded wheel over his head. Duncan is working with bike part manufacturers to develop a "a really high end city bike or courier bike that can fold up into a package like a golf bag, which could go into an overhead rack on a train or go into a plane locker." Damn, that would be...

Zing! Food Fight Weapon Is Questionable
via Geekologie - Gadgets, Gizmos, and Awesome by (author unknown) on February 07, 2008
I enjoy a good fight as much as the next guy. I think they're the key to a healthy marriage and having dried food particulate caked all over the kitchen walls. To help the less adept food fighter Fred & Friends developed Zing! food launching spoons. As you can see they're spoons with a spring in the middle. Personally I have no problem getting a good launch with a regular spoon, but I...

Computer Mug Is Surprisingly Conceptual
via Geekologie - Gadgets, Gizmos, and Awesome by (author unknown) on February 11, 2008
Jason Farsai has conceptualized the Yuno PC, which is a computer in a coffee mug. He envisions the device having all the necessary morning computer applications: weather, time, traffic, stock prices, comic strips, and email. You can also upload your own screensaver images and just stare blankly at your coffee mug until 11 am like I do. Neat I guess, but completely impractical. Oh, and...
