FriendFeed adds personalized recommendations
via FriendFeed Blog by Bret Taylor on June 06, 2008
I was just on a two-week vacation in Peru, and when I got back, there was so much stuff in my FriendFeed that I couldn't sort through it all. I just wanted to see the most interesting stuff I'd missed. That's why I'm happy to announce we just launched a feature that helps you find the best stuff your friends have shared recently without sifting through your entire feed. Underneath...

Get a room!
via FriendFeed Blog by Kevin Fox on May 21, 2008
It started when we wanted a better way to share feature ideas and product plans with each other here at FriendFeed, but not the rest of the world -- a mini FriendFeed of our own. We could have set this up on its own machine in the office, but we knew that we weren't alone in our desire and that the right way to go was to extend FriendFeed's capabilities for everyone. And so FriendFeed...

via FriendFeed Blog by Paul Buchheit on June 04, 2008
We've added a third type of room: semi-public. Anyone can view or comment on entries in a semi-public room, but only administrators can post new entries. This makes it easier to keep large rooms on-topic.Rooms can now have multiple administrators as well:And room administrators all have the ability to delete any entry or comment in the room:

Over the summer, he'll be lending his CS skills to help create and develop many features in...

FriendFeed options - hide Twitters, mute discussions, and more
via FriendFeed Blog by Paul Buchheit on January 23, 2008

In our internal testing, this feature has been an effective way of letting just the "good stuff" through.Once you set rules to hide some of your friends' activity, you will see a "Show hidden entries" link at the bottom of your feed every time FriendFeed su...

Another great FriendFeeder!
via FriendFeed Blog by Paul Buchheit on May 23, 2008
Not everything that we do here at FriendFeed shows up on the changelog. In particular, we've been spending a lot of time talking to people who are interested in joining the team here at FriendFeed. We know that a relatively small team can be extremely productive when it has the right people working together in the right environment. However, building that perfect team can be very...
