The Google Street View car causes a stir in Rome
via Mousetrap Technology - Times Online - WBLG by Bernhard Warner on May 08, 2008
For many Romans, these are jittery times. For the first time in a generation, the mayor of the Eternal City, once a left-wing stronghold, is on the political right. Gianni Alemanno, a former neo-Fascist, swept to power late last month on a tough-on-crime platform that included bulldozing encampments of Roma people, expelling supposedly violent foreigners and installing London-like surveillance...

Google Reader gets an iPhone update
via jkOnTheRun by Kevin C. Tofel on May 11, 2008
It's just a beta for now, but if you use Google Reader on an iPhone or iPod Touch, you might want to hit up http://www.google.com/reader/i. Actually, the Official Google Reader blog says this is for the iPhone and other advanced mobile browsers, so S60 and Windows Mobile folks might want to have a look-see as well. Guess Who's Not Ready For IE8?
via Windows-Now.com by Robert McLaws on March 05, 2008
Microsoft! Live.com is totally broken in IE8. Which I find kind of odd, because I would have imagined that the Live.com team had access to the beta. At any rate, changing tabs doesn't work, the Start Orb is broken, and only 3 of the panels on my front page load data.Oops! I think we can say that this not the first site that will break with IE8, and definitely not the last. Time to update that...
