Jesse Gresham Plus 3Shootin' The GreaseMP3 FileWow, I don't know who the hell Jesse Gresham is and I've never seen the Head label before, but this is one seriously terrific track! This thing starts off strong and just keeps getting better and better as it goes along. Dig it!p.s. the flipside is Robert Parker's "Barefootin'"

Tangram Bookshelves
via Lost At E Minor: Music, illustration, art, photography and more by Derrick Stembridge on May 21, 2008
These bookcases from Lago don’t necessarily have to be assembled in this manner. They come as seven pieces in a square and can be rearranged to form whatever shapes your heart desires, just like the Tangrams played with as a child. (more…)time savedtime saved

Obama's Web Ads May Have Driven Big North Carolina Win
via techPresident by (author unknown) on May 22, 2008
Obama won big in this month's North Carolina primary and his online ad strategy in April may have played a role in driving his supporters to the polls. As the primaries chug along, Senator Barack Obama has steamrolled past fellow Democratic Presidential hopeful Senator Hillary Clinton and likely Republican nominee John McCain in the Web ad department. The Illinois Senator's camp continued...

Hacking Recommenders
via Duke Listens! by plamere on May 22, 2008
Here's a rather unusual recommendation. If you are interested in this book by Pat Roberston, the TV Evangelist and notorious homophobe you may be interested in this gay sex manual. This recommendation is not only unusual but it created a bit of a stir in the press and was an embarrassment for Amazon This freakomendation is a result of a small group of folks purposely manipulating the...

AKAT 1: Analog Computer
via ISO50 - The Visual Work of Scott Hansen by Scott on May 22, 2008
This is the AKAT-1, a Polish made analog computer from the 1960’s which apparently was rumored to have been used as a synth on Beatles recordings [source]. I happened upon it while reading an article about analog computing on Wikipedia. I’m not trading in my digital computers for the analog variety any time soon (as I did with my synthesizers), but if they would just make a MIDI / DAW...

A line breaks out at an Apple store...
via ParisLemon by MG Siegler on May 21, 2008
I remember about a week after the Nintendo Wii launched and immediately sold out everywhere I heard a rumor that a Best Buy near me would be getting more in one morning. I decided to drive up there and see if anyone was actually in line - I thought this would be a good indication of whether the store was in fact getting Wiis or not. There was a line of a few people so I decided to get in it.About...

Doodle 4 Google winner
via Next: Innovation Tools & Trends by (author unknown) on May 21, 2008
A while ago, my colleague Aili McConnon wrote a sweet piece about the man behind the Google Doodle, the guy who customizes the look of the search engine's logo on a seemingly daily basis. I just caught a post on the Unbeige blog about a 6th grader from Castro Valley in California winning this year's "Doodle 4 Google" competition, challenging students to come up with their take. Her sunny...
