via Neatorama by Alex on May 23, 2008
Meet Nicholas Berggruen, a homeless billionaire. You read that right. Nicholas is worth billions but doesn’t even own a home (he stays in hotels) because he’s lost all interest in acquiring things:After making his billions, Mr. Berggruen, 46, lost interest in acquiring things: They didn’t satisfy him, and in fact had become something of a burden. So he started paring down his material life,...

Slinkachu, the artist who brought you Little People, a Tiny Street Art Project, has a new “moving art” project. It moves pretty slowly, as it consists of snails with painted shells placed in London landscapes. He’s devoted an entire blog to the endeavor. Link -via b3ta

Notice that the sand don’t mound up, as if there is a giant hole underneath that just churn up the sand particles. If anyone know what this is, please let us know!Hit play or go to Link [YouTube] - Thanks John M.!

Five vestigial organs and functions (appendix not included)
via Boing Boing by David Pescovitz on May 19, 2008
New Scientist offers a list of the human body's five organs and functions that seem to be pretty much useless. Making New Scientist's, er, cut of vestigial organs and functions are: vomeronasal organ, goose bumps, Darwin's point, tail bone, and wisdom teeth....
