Edwards, Hillary, Obama, And Rezko
via TPM Election Central by Greg Sargent on January 22, 2008
Did Edwards tell a roomful of donors that Hillary privately told him after the last debate that there's more to come on the Obama Rezko story that has yet to be made public? An Edwards contributor tells The New York Observer that Edwards made the claim at a private fundraiser last night. The Observer paraphrases the donor's account as follows:He said that Hillary and Obama have true...

The Rezko Primer
via ArchPundit by archpundit@yahoo.com (Larry Handlin) on January 23, 2008
Since Rezko has become an issue in the Presidential race, I am creating a sort of primer for the relationship between Obama and Rezko over the years. It will only touch on the issues with Rezko and his indictments as related to Obama as I don’t have nearly the time it would take to show Rezko’s involvement with Blagojevich and others.I. Early Connections–Job OfferII. Donations to...

The Best Twitter Client for Windows Desktop
via Digital Inspiration by Amit on January 23, 2008
Snitter, Spaz and Twhirl are pretty good desktop clients for Twitter - all of them use the Adobe AIR platform and can therefore run on Mac and Windows. They are all very similar in features but if I were to pick one of the three, I would probably go with Twhirl - it sports the most elegant interface of them all and you can add multiple Twitter accounts.Hover the mouse over the avatars of your...

Bic Art
via The Daily Dish | By Andrew Sullivan by Andrew Sullivan on January 23, 2008
Artist Juan Francisco Casas uses a bic pen to create stunning, photo-realistic drawings.Think Chuck Close meets that kid in high school always doodling on his notebooks. Casa's work is currently up at the Galeria Fernando Pradilla in Madrid. More images after the jump. Casa's work is yet more proof that Bic is, indeed, the perfect ballpoint pen. Other creative uses for Bics here.

Yglesias Award Nominee
via The Daily Dish | By Andrew Sullivan by Andrew Sullivan on January 23, 2008
"I didn't think that there was a way Democrats could fail to win the Presidency in 2008. But I underestimated us... Virtually the entire campaign against Obama has been smear and innuendo with a racial subtext. It better stop, but I expect it won't. It won't stop because after Iowa it was decided that Obama could not be defeated fair and square. So fair and square went out the window....

... also, however, looking forward to helping strip the hide off of whatever nominee the Dems throw at us (my bet is still on Obama, but we can always hope for a nice floor fight). For the six visitors who have stuck with me threw the lean times, let’s do this thing. For any new folks who stumble upon my little corner of the Net. Welcome. Settle in, have a drink, and get ready to rock.

Automattic news
via Raanan Bar-Cohen by raanan on January 22, 2008
Some very exciting news tonight - we announced a $29.5M series B round of funding. Our CEO Toni Schneider summarizes it well:Late last year we sat down to figure out how we’d like to expand our business in 2008 and beyond. Since things are working well, we didn’t want to make any major changes. However, we did set a couple of new goals. One was to put enough money in the bank to have financial...
