Turn FriendFeed Into Your Start Page With These Greasemonkey Scripts
via The Inquisitr by Duncan Riley on June 04, 2008
When I wrote my FriendFeed wishlist May 29 my number one wish was for FriendFeed to support custom tabs. This isn’t happening yet, and even if it did it would likely be for content currently supported by FriendFeed, not external services. But I still wanted tabs, and inspired by a Greasemonkey script called FriendFeed tabs (they use the plural, but it only delivers Techmeme in a tab) I started...

Bradicon Converts Most Any Image Into an Icon [Conversion]
via Lifehacker by Kevin Purdy on May 29, 2008
Web app Bradicon is a super-simple tool to convert most of the major graphics formats—JPG, PNG, BMP, or GIF—into icon files. We've previously posted a similar tool, but Bradicon's wider file range and two-step process make it a great bookmark for anyone fixing a desktop or personalizing a file package. Thanks, Jerame!Bradicon!

New features for your FriendFeed rooms
via FriendFeed Blog by Paul Buchheit on June 04, 2008
We've added a third type of room: semi-public. Anyone can view or comment on entries in a semi-public room, but only administrators can post new entries. This makes it easier to keep large rooms on-topic.Rooms can now have multiple administrators as well:And room administrators all have the ability to delete any entry or comment in the room:

The 6 Best Ways to Rock FriendFeed
via scribkin by J. Phil on June 03, 2008
... chat has an interesting, transitory, yet compelling feel to it. FriendFeed is similar, especially after the addition of rooms. However, chat systems don’t really have any affinity settings, you follow what is said by everyone in the room. Also, any external content must be brought in by hand.Internet Relay Chat (IRC) - IRC was an early (and subversively successful in many ways) atte...

Scoble – a one channel radio station of white noise
via WinExtra by Steven Hodson on June 04, 2008
... that there is a lot of noise being generated the moment you subscribe to Robert Scoble where ever he happens to be hanging his hat. He like to suggest that without being a part of the river of noise as he calls you are going to miss out on all the good and important stuff. For Robert this is all a part of being involved with the world wide talk show as he likes to refer to the web the rest of u...

Pownce Needs To Pownce!
via FPettit.com by Franklin on June 04, 2008
Twitter is on the ropes: Pownce should Pownce. The early adopter crowd has NOT jumped overboard and left Twitter. I am unsure why. Pownce appears to be a superior product. I am not debating its merits versus Twitter. Pownce has stability on it’s side. Pownce may have a smaller user base but at least the site stays up.But for the last few weeks the focus is all about how to fix Twitter. ...

Semantic Feed Reading With FeedzZ
via ReadWriteWeb by Sarah Perez on June 03, 2008
At first glance, the social news aggregation site called FeedzZ appears to nothing more that an Alltop clone with fewer categories. But look again - FeedzZ is actually doing something quite different than Alltop, OriginalSignal, Shyftr, or any other news aggregation web site - it's using the Calais API to offer a semantic component to the feed reading experience. This semantic technology is...
