Ok, Wired, Let’s Do This.
via TechCrunch by Michael Arrington on May 14, 2008
A week ago Wired Magazine voiced its displeasure over our syndication partnership with the Washington Post. Wired’s Betsy Schiffman wrote “We’ve got nothing against TechCrunch, but it seems crazy-crazy to us that the Washington Post, a paper known for the sort of reporting that can take down U.S. presidents, is publishing content written by a dude who invests in the companies he writes...

ReadAir Isn’t Ready Yet
via sarahintampa by Sarah Perez on May 14, 2008
How excited was I when I heard that there was now a Google Reader Adobe AIR application that would let me browser through my feeds outside a browser? Pretty freaking excited! But then I thought "wait - why do I need this?" This doesn’t really help me solve a problem. With Twhirl, for example, I get easier access to all of Twitter’s features and it refreshes my tweets for me. Google Reader,...

Derek Powazek - A Savvy Approach to Copyright Messaging
via powazek.com by (author unknown) on May 14, 2008

Friend Connect And The End Of The Fragmentation Era
via Mashable! by Stan Schroeder on May 12, 2008
For those of you who have been struggling to understand what Google’s latest service, Friend Connect, really is, and how it relates to the competitors, I’ve found a simple answer: it’s MyBlogLog on a global scale. MyBlogLog is a great little service (later acquired by Yahoo) with a simple idea: give a name and a face to your website’s visitors. In a way, it takes your visitors and creates...

LAN Party Prom
via Tasty Blog Snack by ijustine on May 12, 2008
I’m sure most of you know my story of “No, I didn’t go to prom.. I went to a LAN party”, but I’ve never met anyone else that did the same (except for the people who happen to be at that particular party gaming). This is the first time I’ve seen another mention of it! So great.Ha ha! Too funny. Thanks to Nick for the heads up on the image and xkcd for their hilarious comics.

Bob Barr Jumps Into The Presidential Follies as a Libertarian
via Life On the Wicked Stage: Act 2 by (author unknown) on May 14, 2008
Shared by Rizzn There was a lot of controversy in the LP back when I was a member as to whether Bob Barr should have been allowed in given his past positions on the Drug War. Like most LP campaigns, these factions will likely rise up during the convention and completely sabotage yet another good potential candidate for the party. I so friggin' hate politics these days.Just when things looked...

Vatican Says It Is Ok To Believe In Aliens
via Life On the Wicked Stage: Act 2 by Warner Crocker on May 13, 2008
Whew. I wonder if Reverend Hagee will be glad to hear this one. The Vatican chief astronomer says that believing in aliens shouldn't contradict one's faith in God. According to the chief astronomer aliens would still be God's creatures. The headline of the article in which this was reported is "The Extraterrestrial is My Brother." I think the Vatican is planning on extending its...
