Google Docs Get PDF Support
via The Inquisitr by JR Raphael on June 16, 2008
Google has added PDF support to its Docs utility.Users can now upload, view, and share PDF files within the program — something that had not previously been available. While you can copy and paste text, there is not any option to edit the files. Google does, however, make use of the word “yet” in reference to an editing option, which might suggest that it will be added before long.

via PaulStamatiou.com by Paul Stamatiou on June 08, 2008
This post suggestion has been sitting in my Skribit account for a while so I thought I would finally address it. S3 is Amazon’s developer-aimed online storage solution. In recent years, consumer-friendly applications and tools have added support for Amazon S3, making it a viable backup solution for anyone, especially those with a fast Internet connection. The price is right too: cheap.I...

Twitter Has Jumped The Shark
via The Inquisitr by Duncan Riley on June 07, 2008
Notice something about Twitter lately besides the constant downtime? It’s gotten quiet. Not deadly quiet, but when it is up every day there seems to be less and less being said. In my case gone are the days where I could use Twitter to track the latest breaking story or the days I had dozens of conversations. It’s not just me, Dave Winer and Rafe Needleman have both noticed as well, and...

Posted by Marissa Mayer, VP Search Products & User Experience, and Micheal Lopez, Web DesignerYou may have noticed that Google has a new favicon, the small icon you see in your browser next to the URL or in your bookmarks list. Some people have wondered why we changed our favicon -- after all, we hadn't in 8.5 years(!). The reason is that we wanted to develop a set of icons that would scale...

OMG! Disqus Outage
via Jangro.com by Scott Jangro on June 06, 2008
There was a pretty major outage this morning at Disqus. Those of us who are using their Javascript plugin, comments simply disappeared from our blogs. Those of us who are using the beta plugin that puts the comments into the page on the back-end had some ugly PHP warnings.Disabling the plugin will bring back the old school wordpress comments. That’s better than errors. It would be nice if...
