Dude, William Shatner Totally Loves TechCrunch
via TechCrunch by Michael Arrington on May 15, 2008
Autograph sports and celebrity memorabilia is a $1 billion/year business in the U.S. alone. The problem is, up to 90% of it is counterfeit.Enter Los Angeles based LiveAutographs, a site that sells celebrity autographs that are guaranteed to be authentic - because they take a video of the celebrity writing the autograph and message and post it on their website. I am a huge William Shatner fan (who...

Beer money
via Rough Type: Nicholas Carr's Blog by (author unknown) on May 15, 2008
If you think the daily increases in gas prices are painful, just be glad you're not living in Zimbabwe, where the inflation's so bad that they just added a half-billion-dollar note to their currency. A contributor to the economics blog Daily Speculations reports on a recent lunch in the country: During the meal, one of my mates was drinking beer - 750ml bottles of Castle Lager (fondly...

Comment on More Than Greenwashing: The Advantages of LEED by Bruce
via Comments for Tropophilia by Bruce on May 15, 2008
Taylor - very cool! Hopefully these buildings are the way of the future. From what you’ve described, I think LEED sounds like a pretty good standard for sustainable buildings, but you mentioned that there are criticisms. Can you point some of those out to us?

Comment on More Than Greenwashing: The Advantages of LEED by Taylor
via Comments for Tropophilia by Taylor on May 15, 2008
Absolutely, and sorry for the omission. Most of the criticism of LEED stems from the fact that it’s a points-based system that’s not particularly well-weighted. via Engadget by Joshua Topolsky on May 15, 2008
Filed under: DisplaysIf you've been watching CNN's election coverage lately (and we think you have), then you've probably seen anchor John King tripping the light fantastic on the channel's Magic Wall touchscreen.
