Bradicon Converts Most Any Image Into an Icon [Conversion]
via Lifehacker by Kevin Purdy on May 29, 2008
Web app Bradicon is a super-simple tool to convert most of the major graphics formats—JPG, PNG, BMP, or GIF—into icon files. We've previously posted a similar tool, but Bradicon's wider file range and two-step process make it a great bookmark for anyone fixing a desktop or personalizing a file package. Thanks, Jerame!Bradicon!

Creating Web Input Forms with Google Spreadsheets [Video Demonstration]
via Lifehacker by Kevin Purdy on May 29, 2008
Lynette Chandler of Tech Based Marketing has put together a short-and-sweet guide to setting up a data-gathering web form using Google Docs' spreadsheets tool. Follow the easy-to-grasp instructions, and you've got a clean form that can be embedded on any page and streams data back to a spreadsheet you control. Great for grabbing info for events, adding a "Contact Me" form to your web...

Visualize the Firefox History
via Firefox Mastery by (author unknown) on February 27, 2008
I have to admit that I'm not using the Firefox history function at all and clear it - and other data - whenever I exit Firefox. Call me a little bit paranoid but I prefer it that way. Some of my friends however love their history, they use it to ...

AltTab Mouse Shortcut
via CyberNet by Ryan on February 23, 2008
Ever since I released the Vista Flip3D mouse shortcut I’ve received a few emails from people who still prefer the Alt+Tab application switching (especially XP users who don’t have Flip3D). I have since modified my Flip3D AutoHotkey script, and spun it into a different variation that works great with the Alt+Tab key combination. What this standalone (no-install needed) application does is...

Check Exe Files on Your Computer
via gHacks technology news by Cheryl on February 20, 2008
If you ever open up your task manager and navigate to the processes tab, you will see a bunch of entries with the extension ‘exe’. While entries with application names on them tell you exactly what they are, you will also find entries with names that have no real identifying characteristics.Let’s say you’re curious to know exactly what each entry does. In that case, head over to Exelib....

Reclaim Memory by Mastering Windows' Task Manager [Feature]
via Lifehacker by Kevin Purdy on February 14, 2008
The best way to speed up your PC is to give it more available memory—but freeing up as much of the memory you already have is cheaper and easier than cracking open your case to install a new stick of RAM. It takes a lot of memory to get a modern Windows system up and ... well, not doing anything in particular, really. Between cryptic system processes, confusing "helper" applications, and...

Add Copy To entry to right-click menu
via gHacks technology news by Martin on February 14, 2008
I never understood why Windows only offered a Send To entry when right-clicking files and not a Copy To entry. The funny thing is that this Copy To function actually exists but is disabled by default. Not sure who had the glorious idea to disable it but it definitely does not make sense to me.To enable a Copy To Folder option in the right-click menu when right-clicking a file or folder you have...
