Polémica con Google y los errores 404 ajenos
via Bitelia by Sergio Gómez on February 14, 2008

Australia's Geekiest Man
via Slashdot by samzenpus on February 14, 2008
An anonymous reader writes "Why have a key to open your front door when you can have an RFID tag implanted in your arm that will do the trick? Computerworld has a story up about the outgoing Linux Australia group president's hacked home, in which just about anything from watering the lawn, to opening his blinds, or checking the mail can be controlled through a software environment. Jonathan...

When files disappear, Magic Rescue saves the day
via Linux.com :: Features by (author unknown) on February 14, 2008
If you've ever had that sick realization that you made a mistake immediately after emptying your Trash or deleting a file with Shift-Del, then Magic Rescue may be the cure you're looking for. Magic Rescue searches block devices for particular file types, then restores them to a designated directory where you can sort through them.

El cubo de Yoshimoto
via Microsiervos by no-reply@microsiervos.com (Alvy) on February 13, 2008

via Microsiervos by no-reply@microsiervos.com (Alvy) on February 13, 2008

The $54 Million Laptop
via Slashdot by ScuttleMonkey on February 13, 2008
Stanislav_J writes "It happens to the best of us: you drop off your laptop at the local branch of some Super Mega Electronics McStore, go to pick it up, and they can't find it. Lost, gone, kaput — probably sucked into a black hole and now breeding with lost airline luggage. It would make any of us mad, but Raelyn Campbell of Washington, D.C. isn't just mad — she's $54 million mad....

l337 Eye Chart Isn't Haxor Approved
via Geekologie - Gadgets, Gizmos, and Awesome by (author unknown) on February 13, 2008
This the l337 Eye Chart. It has some really basic acronyms people use online, but in the form of an eye chart! It says at the bottom if you can read it then you have l337 eyes. And I could, so my eyez must b teh l337! Unfortunately having l337 eyes doesn't come with wall hack capabilities, which is a shame because I think the couple that live next door are totally doing it. l337 Eye...

Shmoocon's coming
via Hack a Day by Will O'Brien on February 14, 2008
Filed under: consJust prepping up a bit before this spring's Shmoocon. Things will definitely be colder this round, so bring your cold weather gear if don't want to arrive in the form of a human popsicle. I'm a fan of Shmoo's organization tactics. Running several single session talks keeps me from missing one great talk to attend another. [h1kari]'s GSM talk promises to be...

Análisis del exploit vmsplice del kernel linux
via Kriptópolis - Criptografía, Privacidad y Seguridad en Internet by admin on February 14, 2008
