Hard to Attack Obama's American Themes
via RealClearPolitics - Articles by (author unknown) on February 23, 2008
SAN DIEGO -- One of the things Barack Obama has going for him is that he is up against adversaries who don't have the faintest idea about how to attack him. And, no, it's not because African-Americans who run for president have a layer of Teflon. That's absurd. It wasn't true for Shirley Chisholm, Jesse Jackson, Carol Moseley Braun, Alan Keyes or Al Sharpton. And it isn't true for Obama. Yet there are those who refuse to accept this. They believe that Obama is getting a free pass because of his skin color and that his critics are walking on eggshells so as not to offend.
