ffe is a flat file extractor. It can be used forreading different flat file structures anddisplaying them in different formats. It is acommand line tool developed under GNU/Linux. Themain areas of use are; extracting particularfields or records from a flat file; convertingdata from one format to an other, e.g. from CSV tofixed length; verifying a flat file structure; asa testing tool for flat file development; anddisplaying flat file content in human readable form.
