SQLite Manager 0.2.39 add-on for Firefox
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5817
I love Firefox because of the ability to utilize many handy add-ons (who doesn't?), but until earlier this week, I considered the add-ons as an accessory to my web-browsing experience, and didn't really give it much more thought than that.
However, I started a new side project that would plug into a SQLite database, and I needed something along the lines of a management tool to browse the table structures...there's really not too many apps out there for free that does this.
Then I came across the SQLite Manager add-on for Firefox and was surprised (quite pleasantly)! This add-on is a full-featured management tool that just happens to live within your FF installation. How nice is that, I say?
In any case, my new project deals with accessing data from the Spiceworks(free device management tool for system admins) database, as you can see by my screenshot...The SQLite Manager allows you to do all those 'SQL-like' things that you can do with normal SQL management tools, like browse the DB, run queries, drop/create tables, etc. Also, you can quickly export the information to a txt or CSV file for further editing in your favorite spreadsheet application (like OpenOffice.org Calc for example!).Shared by:
